Free Printable Onesie Stickers

So you know all those cute monthly onesie stickers you see all over the blog world on every baby????? Well I was planning to share some with you all on Friday ....but ETSY has taken over my life and I was so busy sending orders out I had no time. So here they are....a bit late.....but better late than never right?  These ones print in PDF format and each sticker is 4 inches.  You just have to print on clear sticker paper.  You can print on white sticker paper too but it's not a flexible.  I like the clear because it gives the look of an iron on transfer ....but you just have to remember to use them on a plain white onesie or tee only for the best quality.  I use this paper from office depot .....

and even though it says inkjet I run it through my laser printer and they look amazing !

Random Updates and Hair Pics!

So as you know I’ve been pretty sick the last 2 weeks …so sick I really couldn’t function outside of work….which I actually give myself props for going to work.  At least my desk is kinda isolated in a corner so hopefully I didn’t contaminate any of my coworkers.  I’m sure my kids would’ve voted me worst mom of the year last week if they could …..or maybe BEST mom of the year for letting them have fruit loops for dinner.  On more than one night! LOL  Don’t act like you never slacked off when you were sick!

Anywho here’s all of the posts I originally had typed out ….all crammed in one post………..

Valentin’s Day -  and no that’s not a typo.  Remember I told you before…..Valentin is Mr. V’s last name so he thinks it’s HIS day and he usually goes all out which is fine by me.  This year we had a babysitter which was an act of God …but we cancelled since I was so sick.  Bue I came home to strawberry cheesecake….chocolates…..and lobster stew …………plus my honey brought home Breaking Dawn and even watched it with me………..LOVE HIM!

Daddy feeding strawberries...to the other woman in his life!

Haircut  -  Yes! I finally chopped my hair off…..a whole 8 inches….and the crazy part is it’s still long. I LOVE it….but I do wish I went a bit shorter so I’m considering going back to take a bit more off.  I didn’t do anything crazy….I guess I kinda chickened out there. What do you guys think??? Sorry for the cheesy  teenage-style facebook mirror pic….hehehe but at least I’m not making that cheesy fish face…..what’s with that anyway?

A New Pet -
Last Saturday we went to the pet store just for fun and mama fell in LOVE….HARD…with this gorgeous little Lhasa Apso puppy.  We even almost brought him home.  But then I remembered a few months ago my son was at a birthday party and it was his first time around dogs and his little eyes swelled shut and he got hives all over his face.  So I wanted to see if he would have  a reaction again and sure enough the same thing happened as soon as he touched the dog .... BOO.  So I’m pretty sure he’s allergic ….which SUCKS…because I love doggies ….so instead we brought home a fishy ….and Sofia named him DOGGIE…go figure! And the damn thing is already sick needing medicine….ugh! But Sofia loves it already ….I just hope he doesn’t croak and I have to explain to her about fishy heaven !

Fixing my Car -
So excited because I finally got my claim settled from our accident back in December and they are going to cover 100% of the damage…..so Monday my baby is getting fixed….FINALLY!  Too bad I know have to also pay out of pocket to buy a new panel in my car because somehow my little angel baby got a hold of a pen and colored in the Avalon symbol on the leather in my car! Then I also have to take it to Toyota because the steering column is being recalled now.  Never a dull moment!

Other than that we haven’t done much but I do notice the babies are starting to cough so I might be MIA a few more days.  Let’s just hope they aren’t as bad as I was and does anyone know what chicken pox look like?  I mean I’ve googled but Sofia just started getting some red bumps on her body this afternoon and I don’t know what it could be.  I’m gonna call her Pediatrcian in the AM. Hopefully they can ell me what it is!  Don’t forget to check back tomorrow too because I have an awesome printable for you guys!  Especially you pregnant ladies!

Free Printable Subway Easter Art

I know I know ....I'm a sucky blogger .....but the flu has rendered me useless for the last 2 weeks. I had a few blog posts about V-day and pics of my new hair-do to post.....buuuuuttttttttttttt being that I feel pretty bad I've been putting it off. But I promise I will post tommorrow. I even missed the free download friday that I promised...TWICE! So here you go.....I saw this on Jazmine's Blog ....from Pinterest of course! And I thought this was so cute I wanted to make one and share it with you too! These are 8" x 10" to fit frames and the instrucsions are below on how to print them on 8.5" x 11" paper at home.

Click the image above or HERE to Download!

Here's how to print 8" x 10" photos on 8.5" x 11" paper using an HP Photosmart 6510 e-All-in-One. The process is similar on other Photosmart All-in-Ones.
  1. Select Preview on the printer's home screen.
  2. Select Layout. You will be shown several options for image size and paper size.
  3. Select 8" x 10" on 8.5" x 11".
  4. Select Print.
Your print will be centered on the 8.5" x 11" paper, making it necessary to trim the four sides surrounding the image.  When you trim the edges its easiest with a paper cutter or an exacto knife and rulers....not using scissors. I use Matte Photo paper when I print wall art as I think it comes out best !!!

I got nothin.

Sorry Peeps...It's Friday. I'm sick and feelin' like total garbage. I got nothin' to blog about really.  However I did finally chop my hair yesterday and while I wish I would've take more off (they did take off 8 inches!) I still love it. I really really wanted to post a pic however I'm here at work sans makeup and looking like total crapola so tomorrow after the munchkins get haircuts I will post pics of all of us :)

Until then I just want to go on a little brag-fest because yesterday I scored the deal of a lifetime........I got these lovely UGGS for .................$22........yaaaahhhhooooooooo!!!!!!!!

They were orignally $140 but at Century 21 for $100.  Then they were the last ones and a size 5 so they were clearance down to $44.  I thought $44 was a darn good deal and when I went to pay...CHA-CHING....50% off the clearance price too!

 Have a great weekend ladies!

Today was a good day!

Ahhhhhh today was a good day! Why you ask?
  • Tax check has arrived..........FINALLY.  I swear I filed the day I got my W-2 ....like no joke the first week of January.  The IRS was already backed up with their "new system" so my check kept getting delayed but alas ....finally it's here
  • Liberty Mutual called and told me after multiple phone calls that they are accepting 100% liability for the car accident we had Christmas Eve ....which means they are paying all of the damage their client caused! Trust this was no easy feat because their lovely client kept changing her story and lying ......but I wouldn't take no for an answer and it paid off.  I'm just SOOOOOOOOO relieved to finally get my car fixed since it's literally falling apart.  More relieved that I don't have to used said income tax to fix it!

Now I'm off to look for flights to Puerto Rico ..........yaaaahooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

Our Love Story

Linking up with Becky @ From Mrs. to Mama

1. How long have you and your significant other been together?

Alberto and I have been together since 4/29/04 .....so almost 8 years :)

2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}

Well we don't have a long sappy love story like most.  I was living in PA and he was in NJ and I had just had my heart broken by a guy I was head over heels for.  I was surfing around on this site that was kinda like myspace ...chatting with people .....and I saw this really cute guy! I thought he kinda looked like Enrique Iglesias in the profile pic so I sent him a message.  I wasn't really looking for anything serious...being that my heart had just been ripped out..........but we chatted back and forth a few times. Then after about a month or so we exchanged numbers and played phone tag for about 2 weeks.  When we finally did speak we talked on the phone till about 4 am ....and everyday after that we would talk all  night.  Kinda wierd for never meeting face to face right :)

After about 3 months we met face to face and we went to Central Park in NYC.  We went to the top of Belvedere Castle and he just came out and said "Would you like to be my girlfriend?"...SO CUTE! and we moved in together about 2 months after that and have been together ever since!

3. If married, how long have you been married? If not, is this the guy you hope to marry? {do tell}

Not yet ......but were were engaged at one time.  Then we hit a bit of a rough patch in our relationship and basically were unengaged.  Now things are better than ever and we have been talking about getting married again.  I really hope we do get married.  We have 2 beautiful children and we both love eachother very much :)

4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding? If not, where would you like to get married? And will it be big or small?

If you asked me this question 4 yrs ago I would say I want a huge over the top wedding but now I think I would love something more intimate like just me and my honey on a beach with our 2 little ones :)

5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!

I call him Nene, Tito, Pito, Boober, Boobie, Bebe, Babe.  He calls me honey, mama, mami, booba, baby :)

6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
  • He is super funny....always joking and always the life of the party.
  • Alberto is very spontaneous and always thinks of fun random things to do with me and the kids...so weekend plans are usually his call.
  • He isn't afraid to cry in front of me .......and for someone who is a serious tough guy....I love to see him let his guard down once in awhile and be vulnerable :)
    Love him!

    7. Tell us how he proposed? Or your ideal proposal?

So remember I told you we were engaged once before?  Well his whole family was visiting us New Years Eve from Puerto Rico.  He picked me up from work and told me to get dressed up nice.  I thought that was wierd since we were just staying in.  His one cousin was pregnant on bedrest so everyone was in PJ's and I didn't want to be the only one dressed up so i refused.  LOL....Mr. V was kind of upset with my for that.

So at the end of the night ......everyone was giving a little speech doing a toast .......and Mr. V. starts his .....i wasn't really paying attention because in my mind all i could think was "What the hell am I gonna say?  I suck at speeches."  Then I notice him stuttering and I turned to look at him and he was on one knee with the ring in his hand.  Being that he's quite the jokester....I said, "Are you joking with me?"  He started laughing ..........and I just kept saying "Are you for real?"  Finally he said, "Well are you gonna say yes or what?"

Of course I said yes.  But we never actually tied the knot because kids came into the picture.......then like I said we hit a little rough spot.  Now things are so much better .......so hopefully Mr. V. will pop the question again.  2 proposals would be pretty awesome :)

    8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals?

Well since his last name is Valentin (hence the blog name) he LOVES V-day.  He thinks its "HIS" holiday so he usually goes all out......lobster, Filet Minon, Chocolate, Wine........So he is definitely a romantic dinner kind of guy :) Remeber last year I posted this pic....this was the dinner he made me .....and there was also wine and chocolate.

    9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?

I'm definitely a walk on the beach gal.  Because while I do love snuggling up on the couch I have a tendecy to fall asleep ...like ALL THE TIME....not very romantic huh?

    10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?

Visit Panama and Spain where my family comes from and also visit Seychelles, Africa....one of my dream vacation spots.  But I would also very much like to go on a church missions trip with him :)

    11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day.

Wellllllllllllllllllll................we have a babysitter which is a miracle in itself ..........so we will probably venture into NYC for dinner and I'm hoping to finally go on one of those horse carriage rides in Central Park :)

    12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?

No not really...boring right?  Just some quality time with my honey ....kid free :)

    13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.

Trust is #1 but also taking time to not get to comfortable and still have date nights.  We fall short of this all too often with kids being our #1 priority.  Sometimes you need to put yourselves first.

    14. Show us a picture of what love means to you.

Old people in love always melts my heart!

But also Dad's and daughters together :) True Love!...Sofia was just 2 here!

    White Wine Chicken Turkey Chili - {RECIPE}

    Ingredients:

    4 cups of water
    1 cup White Cooking Wine
    1 tsp vegetable oil.
    1 lb. Cooked Ground Turkey
    3-4 cups Shredded Chicken Breast
1/2 cup finely chopped Green Onion
1 medium white onion finely chopped
1 small green pepper finely chopped
    2 cans Stewed Tomatoes
    2 cans White Cannelini Beans
    2 Bay Leaves
2 packages McCormick White Chicken Chili Seasoning
    Shredded Cheddar Cheese
    Sour Cream
    Adobo

Add your tsp of oil to a large saucepan and brown your ground turkey on medium heat until cooked.  While that is cooking either saute or boil your chicken breast...however you prefer.  It helps though if you cook this ahead of time and have it cooled and shredded already.

Once your ground turkey is cooked add the shredded chicken to the same pot and your 4 cups of water.  In a large bowl use your hands to crush your stewed tomatoes.  Lucky for me this lil' lady was more than willing to do the dirty work! (She thinks playing 'Cooking Mama' on her DSi makes her a bonafide chef now...heheh)

Once the tomatoes are crushed add them to the pot as well as your green & white onions, green peppers, & bay leaves.  I also threw in 4 chopped Recao Leaves and 4 chopped Dominican Sweet Peppers but those are optional becuase you can only find them in Latino Supermarkets. In case you're wondering this is how they look ....

Next add the white cooking wine and the 2 packages of McCormick White Chicken Chili Seasoning.  If you can't find the white seasoning you can use regular chili seasoning. Then add a small amount of adobo to taste.

Allow chili to cook on medium heat for at least 2-3 hours.  Chili will boil down and thicken.  Once finished top with sour cream, cheddar cheese and a few green onions.......and ENJOY!!!!!!!!

    The nerve of some people!

So Saturday I'm at the supermarket..........and I get in the "15 item or less" line.  I put my stuff on the belt (having not counted it) and no sooner do I hear a snarky voice behind me say ...

"Excuse me but this is the express checkout line"

Mind you I don't have much ....but I proceed count my stuff anyway and tell the lady ....I have 17 items.  she replies.....

"So you're not gonna leave the line?  To hell with the rules right?  Because you know RULES are RULES!"

    I say...

"No, Not to hell with the Rules....just to hell with you!"

By this point my kids are grabbing at candy in the checkout and getting whiny and I'm not about to take all my stuff off the belt and leave the line. Besides.....all of the super bowl shoppers were out in full effect and each line had like 20 people anyway. Hence the reason i want to the express checkout with my 17 items...I really did think I was 15 or less....so anywho........She keeps talking crap behind me and I'm trying to ignore her....but then she says....

"And you're screaming kids will hold up the line even longer."

NO.THIS.BITCH.DIDN'T!  Now by this point shes bringing my kids into the argument.  All moms know that checking out is the worst with toddlers.....especially with all those goodies right at eye level for the kids in carts.....so seriously cut me some slack here!  So I turn around and try to "Keep it Christian" and say ...

"Is it really that serious?  I'm 2 items over......2 items!

She moves closer....get's about an inch from my face and is now shouting at me ....

"It IS that serious...You should follow the RULES!

Now my blood is boiling and I'm thinking .....you really don't want me to get Jersey on you lady because seriously don't judge me.  You look to be in your mid-50's .....alone ....no kids.....and judging by all those cans of cat food you have .....you are the creepy neighborhood cat lady! Keep your misery to your DAMN self!

Being the refined {I use that term loosely}lady I am .....I decided that rather than punch this lady and get an assault charge with my kids in tow I will be the bigger person and leave the line.  So yes....i put all my stuff in my cart and changed lines.....but not before whispering so my kids couldn't hear...

    "You're a psycho BITCH!"

There is a funny ending here though ............I now have to wait in the regular lines packed with about 20 people each .....I wait ....and who do I see coming now ?  You guessed it....the PSYCHO-PATH! She walks over to courtesy ...has to wait behind 5 people...and is now rolling her eyes at all of them.  She gets up to the cashier and says she was charges wrong for everything.

    KARMA SUCKS LADY!!!!!!!!

    Seriously though .....am I overreacting?

Easter outfits already? Am I crazy?

Am I crazy?  Yeah ..probably.  But when I see something I fall in love with, my mind goes all sorts of crazy. I'm guessing the fact that it's been unusually warm and snow-free here in Jersey that has my mind racing with thoughts of spring time. Yesterday and the day before it got up to 63 degrees!!!!!!!!! That...and the fact that every store has all their adorable spring lines out already....YAY !So this year I'm going to shy away from the traditional pastels and go for something a little more bold ....like Navy and Emerald Green.....which are both amazing colors on my tots! So far I have my heart set on these outfits for Easter....

Sofia's Outfit is all from Janie and Jack and Antonio's from Baby Gap.....but I will probably make her a headband because I'm not super in love with this one.

Wordless Wednesday - The Calm Before the Storm

This is "The Calm before the Storm"......in other words the storm ensues once he wakes up ....LOL

Layout was created by MOI using Paint.net
and the Minima template (with the help of about a million tutorials!)
