So one of my good friends at work Lisa has a daughter Megan and her baby is about 8 days older than my son and she had two of these radios and gave us one.  Thank you Megan!  It's awesome and my son goes nuts over it!

Everytime I turn the music on he gets up on all fours and starts rocking.  You know that, "I want to crawl" type of rocking.  He's still not sitting up but trying to crawl !

Happy Friday Everyone......I promise I will try to get vacation pics up over the weekend.  This week has been really hectic at home and at work.  This is my stepson's last weekend here to before he goes home to NC and goes back to school so hopefully we will do something really fun with the kiddies.  Anyways I hope to see some new followers over the weekend here and at Fifi's Closet and maybe we can reach the Giveaway Goal on Fifi's Closet!!! I can't wait!!!

As many of you know our "Terrible Two's" really started at age 1 and with with age 3 just around the corner there is no end in sight!  Lately I've been trying to get some good shots of my baby girl but I don't have the greatest camera and she hasn't been very cooperative either.  Much to my dismay ........this is generally what I get when when she spots the camera in my hand! Love, Love, Love me some Century 21!  Today I went there on my lunch break and OMG OMG OMG .....I could've went crazy in there but I know Alberto would kill me so I only picked up a couple things.  First let me say JUICY is not really my thing but this bag was super cute even more in person .....but :::sighs::: I didn't get it.  It retails for $298 but was at Century 21 for $149!!!!  I still just can't spend $149 on a diaper bag ....buuutttttt I guess since it would double as a purse for me too .....hmmmhow to convice the Mr.???

Will I ever be a Mrs.???

I'm starting to wonder if the title of "Mrs. V." will ever be in my future.  Mr. V. and I have never done things the "traditional" way.  Our timeline goes a little something like this ....

1. Moved in together when I was 20 (Mr. V. 27)
2. Engaged ...but not plannng wedding yet
3. Baby #1 comes into the picture
4. Un-Engaged (long story, won't get into that)
5. Baby #2 makes his arrival

Now, this is all over a period of 6 years. So many people on both sides of our family would love to see us married but every time it's brought up I get a "Babe, I'll marry you tommorrow...let just make an appt. at the courthouse!".  Ummmmmmm, no thank you! What ever happened to being swept off your feet.  I mean I know we did things a bit backwards which were never my intentions.  We lived together and had children before marriage and were never really financially ready .....but you know what??? I still want that big wedding .....I never went to a high school dance or anything and I want to be that princess for a day! I'm only 26 (well almost 27....and Mr. V. is 34) and I feel like everytime I go on facebook I'm seeing someone else's wedding pics.  I would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous or sad.  Besides, I would still like to wear that hot wedding dress I have in mind while I'm still in my 20's.

Maybe I'm making too big a deal of it but I get embarassed when this conversation happens:

Stranger mentions "your husband"

"Oh he's not my husband.  We're not married, but we're engaged"

stranger: "Oh congratulations! Let me see the ring!"

"Well...ugh...derrrr..................I don't have one anymore."

stranger: ???

So you can see where this conversation usually goes.  My point being .....I guess I'm just bitter at this point but is "Wifey Status" too much to ask ????  Now I guess I'm going to have to go cheer myself up......maybe I can find some chocolate around here or something!

  

HOUSTON....We have a TOOTH!

And not just one tooth but two teeth!

Before I say anything...Let me just say that compared to Fifi, Antonio has been such a dream during the time he's been teething.  Never more than whining a bit, my poor lil guy took the pain like a champ.  As of the morning of 7/16 his first official tooth has broke the gums and you can see and feel that white little razor of a tooth sticking out!  Then this morning the 2nd bottom tooth popped out too!  I'm excited and sad because I love that little toothless grin and don't want to see it go but I love seeing him grow and change. 

Let me also just say that Fifi got her first tooth at 10 months and then her 2nd about 11 months so I was really not expecting them to come out so soon but both my babes are so different in everyway that I'm not suprised at all!  Here are just a few pics over the past few days of my lil guy!

We're finally home in NJ!

Hellloooooooooooooooo to everyone out there in the blogosphere! We are finally back from our vacation in Florida and Alabama and we had a great time.  I'm going to spend the next few posts updating you with pics and and updates since we were gone.  I'm also just catching up reasing some of the blogs I currently follow so bare with me.  Also don't forget to check out Fifi's Closet for a new giveaway I will be posting !!

On Vacation..

...for the next week and a half in sunny Florida and Alabama.  Right now I'm sitting on the balcony of the San Destin Golf and Resort hotel and OMG this place is amazing!  I will be here till the 19th then back to NJ .....I will post more about our vacation later...but let's just say I'm ready to relocate back to FL ....I lived here before and I would miss all the NYC shopping but I'm so over the cold weather!

10 Things that Make Me Smile!

I've been a little down lately and Miss Kat's Writers Workshop suggested this post about 10 things that put a smile on your face when your down so here goes....

1. Hugs and kisses -  and "I loves you's" from them without a doubt take the #1 spot.
2. THE 814 - Love visiting my home town of Erie, PA especially seein my family ...love visiting my Daddy's house and seeing my stepmom in WI too :) wish Daddy was still on this earth to be there when I come:)
3. Being freshly groomed - sounds like a dog...but I mean, hair & nails done, eyebrows threaded, waxed, nice outfit on and accessories....being all dolled up always makes a girl feel like a million bucks!
4. Real Housewives of NJ - My monday night guilty pleasure ...those chicks rock my socks off ..lol
5. Income tax season - I'm def not money hungry but having 2 mini-me's sure has some perks and being able to splurge on myself and them is always a plus!
6. Sales - I'm a shopaholic/label whore for sure and I get high off sales ...especially on kids clothes...mainly Janie and Jack and Baby Gap have the most kick ass clothing sales for babies
7. New Perfume - something about wearing brand new perfume knowing how awesome I spell gets me in a good mood.
8. Sephora - love that store.....any makeup, perfume, and skin care product you can imagine!
9. Shoes shoes and more shoes
10. Puerto Rico - or any beach for that matter.  Love being on vacation with Daddy and family enjoying pin~a coladas on the beach.

Jeez I kinda look a bit materialistic here......ummmm...errr.....who cares I love nice things for me and my kiddies.

Five Question Friday #8

Happy Friday everyone!  If you also follow Fifi's Closet....go check it out because I just posted the giveaway winner for the Dragonfly Clippies!

Without further ado....I'm going to go right into 5QF....

1. What is one thing you miss the most about childhood?

What do I not miss?!?!?! Coming home to a home cooked meal everyday (Thanks mama!). I miss not having to stress about bills or work.  Grant it I love my kids and woldn't give them up for the world, but I miss getting ready to go out and not have to get everyone else ready.  Most of all I miss my Dad being alive.  I remember as young as age 4 coming in the house and seeing my Dad watch that show M.A.S.H. everyday. I remember watching him plant his garden and I miss just being around him :(

2. Are you still friends with your friends from high school?

Some, yes and some, no.  I recently had a huge falling out with someone I was friends with however she was always very gossipy and just plain bitchy so I was kind of relieved to get her out of my life as she even talked about me behind my back on numerous occasions.  I do have a few close friends though that we are still good friends since middle school who I am so blessed to know and grateful for our friendship.

3. Is there a catch phrase, cliche, or word that just drives you bonkers every time you hear it?

Remember about 10 years back ....during my high school years when people used to say "WAZZZZZZZZZZZZUUUUUP"

I cringe when I think of that annoying saying and want to choke whoever is saying it.  Oh and when people say "TUESDY", "FRIDY" etc.....

Who gave anyone the right to take out the darn "A" .....It's Tuesd-A-y...c'mon people!

4. What is one thing that you think symbolizes America...besides "Old Glory"?

This probably isn't your typical response....but I'm going to say Harley-Davidson motorcycles! Love those. I grew up around them and something about seeing people out on their Harleys or any motorcycles just makes me think of freedom and how lucky we are to live in a country where we can say and do whatever we want!

Also New York and Texas.  I was born in and  grew up in Texas until age 11 or 12 I think and miss that place so much.  I love the spirit of Texans.  They get down and dirty and are damn proud of it and I don't think you will ever find anyone more proud of their state.  Well, maybe New Yorkers too. I love this place too .....after 9/11 people here became even more prond and stronger than ever.  I love the sights and sounds of NYC, the yankees fans, the smell of hot dogs and peanuts, seeing little lids playing in the fire hydrants, I just love everything about New York!

5. What are your 4th of July weekend plans?

 

Originally, I was supposed to be visiting my mom in PA but of course something always ruins plans.  My car needs new brakes and tires so i won't be making that 7 hour trip.  Lucky for us we live so close to NYC there is always something going on.  Im thinking maybe cooking out at the pool and of course we can't miss watching the Macy's fireworks from Liberty State Park!

We have a new pet....a Pillow Pet that is!

Last night Papa Bear took the family out shopping in anticipation or or upcoming vacation to Florida and Alabama.  Of course H&M was the first place we went!  But anyway....this post really isn't about my shopping problem.  It's about this Pillow Pet craze.

I've seen these things on a few occasions in the kids cubbies at Fifi's daycare for naptime.  She's always asking for one so Daddy couldn't say no to those baby blue's when we passed the pillow pet kiosk in Willowbrook Mall. 

So of course being the girly girl I am ....Mama went right for the pretty ones.

"Fifi look a cute pink piggy!"

"Oh Wow look at Miss Ladybug!"

"Sofia, a purple hippo! You love PURPLE!"

NOPE!!! Not my Sofia! What did she go for you ask? A PLAIN BROWN BEAR! and of course she names him Da-da....since Daddy really bought it for her.

I even made one last desperate attempt as we were leaving the mall and passed by the kiosk of Pillow Pets again. The clerk was closing and putting out new dolphins.

"Sofia, why don't you trade your bear for that awesome blue dolphin. You know there are pretty dolphins in Florida where we are going?!?!?!

She wouldn't budge though.  So alas....there was no ridding us of that damn bear.  I know I know....I shouldn't be harping on this ...I just thought she might pick a cuter more girly one.  Don't get me wrong baby girl loves her some bows and dresses but jeez all the other Pillow Pets were so much cuter.  Maybe I can exchange it on the sly and she won't notice.  Who am i kidding.  Fat Chance!

The worst thing of all was it was supposed to be for nap time at school and when we got there this morning I had to dry the tears as they told me to take her bear home because they were casuing problems.  When kids were bringing there pillow pets everyone wanted one.....so the best things was for no one to have one.  So I guess Mr. Bear....I mean Da-da will be moving in full time with us!

This post is in response to Mrs. F’s recent blog post. I'm super appalled and I just want to say to all those in the blogosphere who think it’s ok to criticize people out of nowhere…PLEASE GROW UP! I absolutely love reading her blog and seeing her precious daughter! For those of us who enjoy reading it...we could care less about your opinions  …..so please do everyone a favor and go do your own thing and stop trying to bully someone. I mean seriously do we need to behave like it’s the high school lunch room and HATE on everyone else. Besides what mother doesn’t want to brag about their kid.....especially when they’re so darn cute! If you don’t like it then leave!


Furthermore I want to add that I work full time, raise 2 kids, (and a stepson during the summer months), and I have a part time hair bow business, Fifi’s Closet, as well! I give SAHM’s sooooo much credit because as busy as I am……I don’t know if I could handle being a SAHM. I didn’t go to college and just like Mrs. F, from the time I was a little girl I dreamed of being a mommy. There is nothing wrong with that. Every night after work and on weekends when I’m with my babies I never EVER have one single moment for myself. Like she said being a mom is the most selfless act in the entire world! I’m constantly cooking, cleaning messes, bathing kids, doing laundry, you name it! Going to work is the only time I get a break so I know for a fact SAHM’s don’t even get that break. Financially I can’t be a SAHM but so what! I would never HATE on someone who is! There are so many women in this world who don’t even come close to loving their child that much or even trying to give them a happy loving home. TO THE BITCHES WHO WROTE THOSE COMMENTS: You should be so grateful someone would be willing to share that part of their life with you and maybe take a few parenting tips !!!

TO MRS. F: Trust me it 100% IS JEALOUSY…..from bitches who wish they could be more like you…..all you can do is laugh at them that they have so much free time on their hands to go around posting stupid shit like that on other people’s blogs!
